Marcia and I visited my son in Seattle this weekend. Saturday's forecast was for partly cloudy and 54 degrees...but in fact it was cold and dreary, the way Seattle is supposed to be this time of year. At least it didn't rain...

These were taken at the Hiram M Chittenden Locks on the Lake Washington Ship Canal, which connects Lake Union and Lake Washington to Puget Sound. It's a Corps of Engineers project put into service in 1917, still in operation.

I shot a number of PR things for the Cowboys, when they were really the Cowboys, Roger, Emmit,Tony Dorsett, Too Tall, the Coach with the funny hat. That was fun.

I guess the scenario you mentioned is no less likely than the one I've been living for the past 32 years! Life's funny isn't it?

Hey everyone, looks like Doolittle is scrubbed. The main organizer is behaving like a complete jackass, and it just so happens my New Year's resolution for 2013 is not to work with jackasses....so....... We'll figure out something else cool, don't worry about that!

Went .. those are some really cool jetman photos ... and SMOKE !! This guy has really choreographed this series .. were you part of his team for such ground access ? Thanks for sharing

Mr. JWilson .. nothing less than we ever expect you to ever deliver, but even I who am NOT a football fan enjoyed your those sport photos !

I was hopin' to catch the Challanger and Global leave around noon .. but when folks with the kind of money who can have these units sittin' around runnin' on their Aux units for them, then there evidently isn't a tight schedule either .. so while waiting, watching the 2nd fuel truck unload into the Global this guy comes in behind me and lands midfield using it all up fast ..... sure looked good goin' by me ..... lol

Gulfstream G450 just comin' in to pick up passangers .. to big for our ramps so they just parked it in an open area so it could just move on without obstruction to a taxi way entry .. and they sat and sat .. needed nothing just running on aux - pilot went in to ops for some papers, then co pilot stretched his legs and when they'd gotten back on board a young stewardess stretched her legs .. I had to leave - promised GF a trip to Pandora's for a Valentine Gift and Lone Star for dinner.

That's interesting Curtis. I'm just glad they didn't die of cholesterol and high blood pressure!

I've been behaving myself since they opened, only going on special occasions when our Austin contingent comes to town. Now that you brought it up though, tomorrow around noon seems like a good time.

Doolittle will go on, we just aren't going to play. We're already working on something that will be less historic, but much more fun. I tried to put something together that would benefit the Doolittle organization and the event and got a response from the jackass that kind of annoyed me, actually it really annoyed me and a couple of other folks, so we tuned out the lights on the idea.

Looking at the event, it appears it will be a shadow of anything previous, with four aircraft tops. The one we attended in Dayton was the best in retrospect, thanks to Gunny for orchestrating that. Quite a memory.
