There was a small article in the paper today about the local Honor Flight and how they'd like to get people to come out to the airport to greet the veterans returning from their day touring DC and seeing their memorials in person. I went, got to the airport in time to get the gate check and pass through security, and then sit and wait for the flight to arrive. It was well worth the time, and it was an AMAZING experience. Check your local regions and go to their next flight's arrival. http://www.honorflight.org

More from the Cleveland airshow. This was real neat to see. The Toronto airshow was the same weekend as Cleveland and the CF-18 was booked at both shows. So for the first time ever, they did the airshow there, topped off with the tanker, then flew over the US/Canada border together to Cleveland, flew the show, topped off again, than flew RTB to Toronto. On the last day the 18 came solo and landed in Cleveland. They had a customs guy waiting for him as soon as he deplaned. I can hear the questions now: "Sir, are you bringing any weapons into the US?"

Wow, that is awesome! I'm curious if you also had the 38 do some higher speed passes by the B-25 so you could get some shots with the flaps up.

the visor of the helmet isn't heating...causing some issues, but doesn't look like they'll scrub for it. They've already broken all the pre-existing records, so if they were going to do anything I think they would have called it by now.
