What a beautiful shot. I almost get the impression that this little birdie just discovered the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Nice bokeh in the background. What is causing that?

angle of incident of the sunlight/flash (Norman 400B) combined with the out of focus plants in the fore/back ground & the excellent bokeh of the FD 300mm f2.8l. this is an uncropped version. you can see the out of focused plant in the foreground.

Nice images of a yellow rumped warbler. The rainbow is icing on the cake.

very nice, I prefer the color rendering in the uncropped version...just my taste.
Either way, this is a wonderful image....great job "seeing the light"

I agree. The lighting on the Warbler itself is a little nicer and flows better with the softer colors on the rainbow effect to make a stunning image on number 2 there.

Excellent shots!

i have a focus confirmation chip mounted on an original Canon FD-EOS 1.26x teleconverter adaptor. the confirmation chip sends the camera data ie. 55mm @ f1.4 to fool the EOS auto focus making the camera think an EOS lens is attached. this in turn keeps the camera's focus confirmation active. when focus is achieved the focus point/s activate just like they would normally if i had an EOS USM lens on the camera. as we say in engineering all data is not good data but in this case the bad data gets the job done. oh by sending the camera fast lens attached data f1.4 the 6 hidden cross sensors around the center sensor on the 5D are activated also.
