Fred, My image upload option has been turned off - though I paid for an entire year's subscription several days ago. I can't upload images now. (I sent you an email, too, with Transaction ID # - hope that helps.)
THANKS for all the work you have put - and continue to put - into the site; it makes a big difference! A great community of photographers and collection of resources here!

While you're cleaning up, is there a reason to have the topic starter listed twice in the list? Once under the topic title, the other in its own column. If you're needing more room, you can make the name under the title hot-linked, and gain room by removing the topic starter column.

You could also probably widen the list a bit.
John
In regards to the thread title length, page count and topic starter, I like what John (quoted above) suggested, either remove the topic starter column or hotlink the "by Fred" line below the title. Please don't shorten the title, I find them truncated enough as is, and would rather see it lengthened. I also agree the list could be widened a bit, I'm sure many people are using larger monitors these days, mine is a 22" widescreen set to 1680x1050 and the list barely takes up 50% of my screen.
I am also plagued by no "new" indicator in the "recent posts" page.
I can't post a new topic. I can reply to one just fine. I can send PM's view profiles everything. But when I try and post a NEW topic in any for I get this... Anyone else getting this?

Slow, slow, slow, slow web site MOST of the time on my system. Hangs up frequently. Not sure if this is being worked on. I assume it is. But it is truly PAINFULLY slow most of the time, almost as if I were on dial-up.
I'm on a fast Mac, high capacity wireless. I do not experience this kind of slow speed on any of my other frequently visited sites.
Wish I had a suggestion for correcting, but I don't.
when i open the PM window the window opens and can not be resized. when you send a pm from this windows tabs open and a message can be sent but it is an inconvenience with no resizing.

It still gets slow at times...Especially when getting over 3000 connections.
This will be solved with more code optimization as well as controlling the load with harware upgrades. The forum should be running much faster very soon.

And some of us frequently browse the forums on a laptop running at 1024x768.
I have been trying to update my photo on the weekly assignment. The new photo would not post. I finally just deleted my topic and started a new one so that I could post. Unfortunately, It was not exactly 640 dimension so I tried again to update with the correct size and it will not change photos. I am going to delete my topic and start a new one since it is my final photo. I hope this info helps you. PS I have learned so much from this site and I appreciate all your efforts on our behalf. Thea
