Actually I believe this is a 30-30 bullet. (I'm no expert on guns

) The bullet itself is lead core with a metal jacket, so what looks like a casing is actually the (copper, I believe) jacket. The casing itself is much bigger and shaped differently. Here's a similar bullet and casing
I believe in an earlier post I referred to the jacket as a casing, my mistake.
