I love the movement, but its almost to blurred to where it becomes hard to look at. You also have some white specks that could maybe be cloned or touched up on. I love the fish however being that I have fish myself.

I've tried, painfully, to capture my own fish. You've done a great job. I like the lighting and contrast.

Good luck,
Chad

These fish will become as famous in the WA as Strad's Strad. Although I was surprised to see them considering some of your other ideas!!!

Great shot, see you in the factory.

Hi Steve thanks for taking the time to comment. I tried a few shots that were less blurred but none seemed to convey the feeling of motion the longer exposure did. I got rid of the white specks which were a little odd, i noticed that if i compare side by side the images on this site and cs2, the sites image seems to be a little lighter. Not a problem but wondered if anyone else has this problem.
Many thanks and take care
Mark

Mark,

Nice take on the WA. Our Zoo has a lake full of these Koi that are the size of a small dog. Good Luck.

Mark - I like your idea. It conveys motions very well. The colors and contrasting light/dark fish are beautiful. Nice entry!

Hi Mark! You and Beverly (Guhl) should compare notes. She also has a wonderful Koi pond and all of hers have names, too. Just for fun, check out her Gallery of Koi,

I really like the combination of light and dark fish, and you've captured their motion beautifully. I especially like the hazy quality of the image. It's almost dreamlike, as though you photographed 'imagination.' Lovely work!

Hey Mark

I think this is a great shot, so much improved now, with the just the two fish. Appears much more balanced. I agree with Steven Roberts that the bottom fish is a little too blurred for me but still a great shot.

See ya in the factory in the New Year.

Alison

The fish never stop moving and create new images all the time, I just have to be in the right place at the right time!

Take care

Hi Philly
Many thanks for you kind words and that gallery is superb. I do admit that in the summer there is nothing quite like sitting by a pond of koi and drinking a glass of wine. That can create a hazy image too !
Take care

Thanks Alison im much happier with the new image. Im not sure about the bottom fish as i like the fact it is blurred and it creates that feeling of motion i was after.
