You bought it now?

Well, I wouldnt do it again... otherwise, if you would need help or advice, just PM. It seems to work rather nicely with Leica R lens (worldinlens shows that on regular basis in Leica R thread). Not so amazing with old Zeiss. Probably better with new ZF.

I think now when it is fairly low priced, one can pretty much afford to experiment.
Mine cost me about $500 and came in a box with all accessories save only for USB cable, which is not a big loss, as well as 3 batteries. This would be the equivalent of slowish 2nd hand ZF1 or a CY lens, so it is acceptable.
Not sure I would like to butcher (no offense intended - I am referring to my conversion skills ) a Leica lens for it.
I am interested in trying to convert some Zuikos though.

Mine was 300 USD (equiv). Boxed too with everything.. Just probably more shutter clicks than yours. Tho obviously if its "cheap" for you, then why not.

No need to butcher, Leitax? Zuiko needs it too..

I plan to write bit more words about it (S5 Pro) as blogpost. One day when I wont be that lazy..

Pretty much my point on the price...
Well, considering that Zuikos are widely available here at a decent price while Leica costs a liver and a kidney (about 4.0 kilopresidents for an 80/1.4, 2.5 for an 90/2 and around 1.9 for a 50 lux) I'd rather botch a 15$ 50/1.4 zuiko..

Looking forward to blogpost. Consider all the fame, fast women and beautiful cars (not necessarily in that particular order) that should keep you going...hehehe...

A few shots with Pentax 67 lenses on Canon 5D2. Shot as JPGs, slightly tweaked in DPP.

I'm impressed that these lenses focus so closely. 105mm is around 0.3m, maybe a foot or so. 150mm is a little longer, but just over a meter.

Took my "new" MF Vivitar 28-90mm/F2.8-3.5 Series 1 lens out for the 1st time today on my weekly bike ride....
....and I am very impressed with its vibrant colors and contrast...
I actually had to pull back the contrast in these scenes...
Full frame 100% crops on Canon 30D @5.6

One bit of luck....When I got it the aperture leaves were sticky and wouldn't stop down from F2.8...from F4 yes, but not from wide open....but.....
....after letting the lens sit @ f16 for a month, the leaves now close down from wide open...

Jay that lens has very good contrast and sharpness lens. Love Mine. Some vignetting though wide open on my 5D. Solidly built.

Thank you guys.
Old habits die hard, so I keep on writing 5D instead..

Gunzorro, Jay, bkw - great shots.
I saw the Tamron 300/2.8 in a shop here few days ago but the price tag was a bit too steep for my wallet..
Gunzorro: which adaptor do you use for P67 glass?

I use the adapter from "big_is" brand/seller out of China on eBay. $44.50 with free shipping, but I'd recommend paying the $2 for slightly expedited shipping -- took over a month. But unlike a previous different make, this one gets to infinity or slightly beyond. Previous one only got to infinity on one lens -- my 120mm soft focus, which I've since sold.

He blacklisted me now..
Most of the adaptors he sent never arrived except for 2 only. It was too late to get refund as per PayPal policy.
Any order from China/HK arrived spot on except for him, even quicker than US Amazon orders - I have a feeling he does it on purpose to get just few more coins...

Thanks jay and Krosavcheg. My hit rate shooting hummers with this lens isn't great but I got some lucky shots. Krosavage I picked up mine for $649 at KEH. Don't really see these to often. Green Model 60B

GXR images thread is gone so I think this is the place to post them.
This is a bit older, I like the light, but I never posted it because i left ISO on 1600, so lots of noise.

If you are talking about big_is, I don't think that's it.

I had trouble on this, the latest purchase. It actually took around two months for me to receive, and two tries. I tracked both shipments. The first shipment, arrived in the US at a normal pace, about a week, but was held in what I assume was customs in San Fransisco, CA, and sent back to China! WTF? Right? I notified that it looked like it was heading back to him, and another shipment was arranged. This one arrived in about a week to Bethel, NY, but languished there for over two weeks. I took almost a week to get to me in Southern Cal from NY, but I got it finally!

Previously, I've ordered from big_is and received 3 or 4 different adapters without problem or major delay.

Anyhow, here's what it looks like with the Pentax 75mm f/2.8 ASPH lens, the main one I was interested in using (before I started testing all my others!). Using the 105/2.4 lens hood since this is not a wide angle lens on FF digital! Great snap-on lens hood.

Japan never ever has problems with mail. Unbelievable, but it's a fact. To the extent of one being able to chose 2 hour intervals for delivery at one's convenience.
Big_Is stuff just never arrived - period. I thought maybe Japan-China relationship plays its part, but even to Sweden it took nearly 4 months to deliver in past....unreal....

Lens does look exceptionally good!
