Peter: Thank you. Token sharpening and WB correction only. I really love the lens - found it in "Junk" corner of a shop. Pristine glas, no mold, only top was slightly loose - easily adjusted...

this one is with 2 Kenko AC close up lenses stacked. At 5.6 I believe, in a fairly strong wind, sunset...no sharpening needed at all...

I seem to get the hang of MF on 20D's viewfinder..

How's this for an "alt lens"?

Canon 5D MkII + a piece of cardboard over the body + 1 pin hole.

Why thanks, Krosavcheg.
I wouldn't recommend using it for paid jobs though.

Great shots but the darkening of the sky is too much for my taste.

Almost forgot to post this, but since the lens is now discontinued.

Leonid Meteor Shower on 11.16.2009.
1Ds Mark III, Sigma 14mm f/2.8, exposure 3 hours and 15 minutes.

The little dots hot pixels from the long recording. I needed to do a better dark frame reduction to correct for those and the banding, but at exposures this long it's all risky.

Use the lock ability on any $5 remote, the bulb setting and use a stopwatch/watch for the time. After the calculated time (based on higher iso and wider aperture) unlock the remote button.

There are a lot of remotes, with various features. Some have a LCD display with time lapse ability and a timer. Others only have a shutter button with half press for focussing option and a lock for bulb. I have the latter one myself for my 450D (bought at dealextreme.com for some dollars) and I am very satisfied with it.
