Me neither. But mine, luckily, is KEEN as anything to travel

There's some prety spectacular Asian flight sales happening at the moment and over the last few months. AirAsia and Tiger have mind-bogglingly cheap flights at the moment. Tiger is charging tax plus 9 cents between singapore and any of their destinations !

I'm considering going to bangladesh with AirAsia rather than spending two weeks in malaysia. I really can't think of two weeks worth of stuff to do in malaysia...

uh oh

We're heading off mid january and coming back end of feb. Nothing like being a student!

The plan at the moment is malaysia for two weeks (because it cost less to fly there than I spend on beer on a big weekend) and then 4 weeks in Sichuan province of China.
Like I said though, what with flights within Asia being so cheap I'm giving some serious thought to hitting up Bangladesh and Varanasi, India.

Actually the way prices are going I'm actually considering going to japan early next year too ('her' destination of choice

I got the travel bug from my mum. She took my brother and I all over the world when i was 8 and then again at 13. We lived in Holland for 6 months too on both occasions.

Showing kids the world at a young age is extremely good education. (try that one on the wife

)

Ahh, gotcha

I quite liked the 17-50 while I owned it, although mine occasionally showed decentering. Not sure how succesful you would be adapting a nikon mount version to canon, unless of course the F mount one has a physical aperture ring.
