p.1 #1 · Bag for 400D, grip and 18-55 lens?

Hi all,

I am looking to purchase for Christmas a bag for my husbands camera. Here is the catch it has to be something small, but big enough to fit the 400D with grip attached and the 18-55 attached plus a memory card wallet and lens caps and maybe have a side slot to slip in his Gorilla SLR Pod.

He would prefer a Lowepro bag (tho he is not fond of bags all together, but I would rather see it in a bag then on top of the tv cabinet :/ ), so far I was looking at the Lowepro Topload Zoom Mini and Lowepro Topload Zoom 1 , but I am not sure if they're the right size and if I could maybe get away with getting him a Toploader 65 AW.

Does anyone have any experience with these bags, or know of another bag that fits the bill?

I'd go with a Think Tank Digital Holster, they are better made than the Lowepro ones in my opinion and they come with a shoulders strap. You can also use them on a belt system or with a chest harness.

He'd need the Digital Holster 40 because he uses the grip on his 400D.

Think Tank Digital Holsters

I have two digital holsters and a belt system that I love.

I think most Holster for XTi is consider without the grip so U might want to look for 1D or something big like so. Those grip r expensive.

I'm still too poor to buy grip + the correct bag. Right now I use my camcorder bag. It has a split compartment so on the large side I put my camera only while the other side holds 2 batt + 2 small lens that I have + IR Remote + other small junks or GPS. It has 2 compartment on the side located outside and one of them I store my cleaning kit. I do have a 10inch tripod (extend to about 4feet) that can fit a little tight into the front compartment which locate outside too. But don't like that tripod much.

I know, I'm crazy.

Take a look at the Lowepro Slingshot 100.
