I am having big problems with this issue.
My workflow:

shoot (raw)
import into lightroom (convert to dng)
correct white balance and exposure
export into CS3 as 16bit Tiff
edit
save
in lightroom have nice big tiff file now (250megs)

is there an easy way to click somewhere and convert or duplicate that tiff file into a Jpeg?
the way I am doing it at the moment is, i export it as jpeg and then import again, very annoying?

Use Photoshops Image Processor.

You will find it under the File menu - scripts.
