p.1 #1 · business cards

I wasnt quite sure which forum to posts these in, so if this isnt the right one, I apologize.

I'm printing up a couple business cards so hopefully i can sell a few photos to support my photo gear habit. Thoughts? Critiques?

I think those are great. Good luck in your quest to pay for more stuff.

Looks good Mark. Maybe just a touch more contrast in the Dog?

Jason

Oh, and it seems photographers are doing a lot of double sided cards these days, and sometimes using features such as UV coatings, etc. You might want to take a look for threads regarding business card printing in the "Post-Processing and Printing" board, as well as the "Wedding Photographer" board.

I like both cards but prefer the graphic qualities of the dog card. Only thought is that the photo on the card can often give people the impression of the type of photography you may specialize in. For example, when I see the dog, I think this guy specializes in pet, animal or maybe wildlife photography. The photographer at my sons football games this year handed out biz cards with the photo of a football player on them. If your not specializing than it may not matter as much.

Two sided full color bleeds. Get out the pocket book. lol

Still looks nice, and, if affordable, would not change a thing.

Honestly, while I like the layout, the underlying images aren't very good. Given the proliferation of amateur photographers, a card can do a lot to help you stand out as a consummate professional. The images you choose can convey this image, making it obvious that only a professional could have taken the image or images featured on the car. Quite frankly, these could be experimental pictures of your son and your dog respectively. As a client looking for a strong first impression, these images wouldn't get you a second look.

I agree with Arka C. The layout is fine the underlying images don't do a thing for the card or the photographer.
