p.1 #1 · Calibrating a macbook pro monitor

Can anyone tell me what they use to calibrate their macbook pros? I have been using a Spyder 2 for years on my external monitors and t worked great. However, it is not working on my mackbook pro, especially in regards to brightness. I have the automatic dimmer turned off but it doesn't help.

Is it because the macbook does not have individual RGB controls?

What do you guys use?

Thanks

I use Eye-one Display2 to calibrate my 15" 2.4GHz LED-backlight Display Macbook pro, result's pretty good to my eyes compared with disktop monitor.

Also have a look at RG's site regarding the Macbook pro display's calibration, very helpful info there, especially the suggestion of turning the brightness to the maxium when calibrating the RGB etc,

Good luck

I have one of the newer Spyder 3 Elites and it calibrated my 17" MBP (not LED) just fine.

Yeah, I turned my brightness all the way up, but it didn't help. My pictures ended up way underexposed. Right now it is calibrated, but I can't trust whay I am seeing and having to rely solely on my histogram.

Thanks guys.
