Apparently 260 lbs exceeds the weight limit of a CT-3342.
It was laying down on my couch and I sat on it in the dark.
But here's the amazing part:Feisol is sending me a new leg at no charge! I didn't even have to pay for shipping! Now that's what I call going above and beyond for the customer.
I've probably taken 15,000 frames with my CT-3342 now and I can't wait to get it back in one piece. It's a joy to use. I'll definitely be on the pre-order when they release the updated "tournament class" version of the CT-3371.

I always find it funny the names companies will give their products to make them sound better. "Tournament Class" seems an awfully poor choice. Unless there is some huge world of photography tournaments I haven't heard about.

I'd like to enter a photography tournament.
I also thought it was a weird name, but maybe it makes more sense in Mandarin. Although there's a little big of a language barrier, they do have English speaking service reps that are great to work with. I just emailed them about what happened, and less than 24 hours later, I had a tracking number for my shipment and a full set of instructions with photos on how to replace the leg.
:offtop: (somewhat, anyway). What head & plate do you use with your tripod? I'm shopping for a lighter replacement for my Graphic tripod (which is ancient).
