p.1 #1 · Dell Display Issues

I have a friend who just got a 30 inch Ultrasharp Dell monitor for use with his G5 Mac. Plugged directly into the machine, they can't get a resolution over 1280px wide (when it should be capable of 2650).

Looking for Mac OSX drivers is a lost cause.

Has anybody else hooked one of these monsters up to a Mac? Any pointers?

Does the video card support that resolution? It should give more than 1280 I would think. But post what card is in there.

Looking up Mac drivers is a lost cause...they don't provide them. OSX covers it.

Is your friend using Dual Link DVI or regular DVI?

My bet is he is using a regular DVI cable.
