I was orignally going to post this in the landscape forum, but realized it probably fits better here.
Back in August I was taking some shots of Split Rock Falls in the Adirondacks and was bored with the usual spot that I and everyone else takes pictures from and decided to put in the effort to get across the river and climb down to the ledge between the upper & middle falls to get shots of the upper falls. I was happily snapping away changing shutter speeds and such to get different effects and not looking up from the display on the back of the camera. Once I did look up, I saw a bunch of guys standing there. When I reviewed the shots, I saw that they had arrived just after I set up and were in every frame as they marched in and stripped down to get ready to jump in. I was a bit miffed and packed up and left, almost trashing the shots, but packrat that I am, I saved them and later noticed I could make a funny animation with them. This is a GIF and should display and animate in any web browser, but it had to be down sampled to 256 colors. The uncompressed AVI is over 8MB.
Hmmm, alternatively, you could always take two or three of these, and mask out the men. You used a tripod and overall exposure generally is the same, so it should be quite simple.
The animation isn't quite my thing, but you did a nice job of it.
Glad everyone liked it. This type of thing can be fun for a laugh. This was a lucky accident, if you plan ahead and do things right, you can make some interesting shots this way.
