Voightlander 180mm F/4 @ F/8, Canon 5D - Blackpool, England

This is a small sharp lens that is a joy to use, manual focus and an absolute bargain at its current price!

Andrew: I love the geometry and composition of this shot, as well as the simple color scheme. It works very well and holds my attention -- there is a lot to look at, without it being too busy. The only question I have is the horizon -- have you thought about rotating it just a couple of degrees to the right? I don't know if the verticals and horizontals would line up, but if so, it might keep the emphasis on the flow of the lines (and keep my mind from wandering).

Hi Tom,

I actually shot this leaning out of my third floor hotel room, with the wife hanging on to my belt! The final product will be corrected for the obvious errors that you pointed out... I posted the image as is in order to show the performance of the lens in an un-adulterated version.

Thanks for the kind words!

Andrew

Andrew, very nice shot from the N17-35, I'm liking the composition and double filter technique very much.

Here's one from me because it's been a while.

5D and Contax 35-70 at f/something stopped down.

Andrew: I'm loving the comps on both these recent shots!

Steven: Yet another great night shot that captures the wonderful lights and colors of Seoul (IIRC). You are making me regret passing up that C/Y 35-70 I was looking at earlier this year.

Jorgen, wonderful angle on that shot, very nice!

Cambo 4x5, Aero-Ektar 7" f2.5, Tri-X 320 developed in HC110 and TF-4. Shot wide open with a red filter to darken the greens of the Christmas tree and let the lights stand out more. A little abstract, something I don't do very often, but I enjoyed it :-) First run with the Aero-Ektar.

A snowstorm clearing over the Austrian Alps:

Shot on Velvia with a Hasselblad 500 C/M and 150/4 C. That was literally the first sun we saw that day, having stayed in the town that lies beneath that cloud down there.
