Like the light a lot in this one. Been thinking about doing a series of hands for a couple with a newborn and this helps me in the right direction. Great take on the assignment!

Excellent capture! Your lighting is great. At first I wasn't sure about the blur in the upper right, removing it would make for very clean imagery, but teetering on trite. Leaving it in suggests the baby, the environment, etc. Makes for a story instead of an image. Great stuff.
