p.1 #1 · #267: Rapunzel's Tower

Caught in the evening sunset. Would have liked to shoot this with dramatic clouds, but as ever, the weather is not playing ball.

Actually it's an English Folly....posssibly Flibble's abode when they have to put him in solitary confinement....no llamas though, just sheep.

Might change this, as I have a weekend free, at long last.

Thanks Jim - that's very kind of you.

This is one of my favourite local towers. For all it's simplicity, it's quite a 'sexy' building. It has those phallic towers on the outside, yet they have nipples on the top (?) .....intriguing.

You can see two of the sheep lining me up on the photo. This was just the start. What isn't shown is the mass herd of sheep about to appear over the horizon, like Allied troups at Dunkirk. I think Flibble was inside the tower, remote controlling their attack. Man, did I run fast.

Intriguing shot.
I agree that the sheep add a lot to it.
The sunset gave you some great colors.

Great shots both, Sue, my friend! It sems you have an "embarrasment of riches" to deal with here. Personally, I prefer the tower shot 1) because it's older, 2) because of the color, 3) because of the sheep 4) because we now know where Fibs lives! :worried: Both shots fit the WA perfectly, though!

It's good to know you managed to resolve your FM access problem.

Fond regards,

Endre

Very well done! Lighting, perspective and subject matter are presented as an artist would dream of.
Well done!

I would not change this, it's a great shot, beautiful light, and the title fits perfect. I expect to be seeing this in the finals. Well done, I like it very much.

Hi Susan! I love them both, too, but the tower is stunning! I'd love to see it for myself someday. I'd also have loved to see the sheep attack.

I think we'll be voting on this one, my friend!

Another vote for the tower. I really like the sheep in the foreground, I think it helps add a since of perspective. Nice job!

Both shots are just great! I like the tower one for its simplicity, composition, color and sheep! Beautiful work! Can you share your post processing in the train image. It has a wonderful feel to it. Thanks.

Home.

*simper*

Currently on joliday in the big ole U S of A. BOUSOA for short.

Taking lots of pictures when Matron isn't looking. Splendid country. Splendid scenery. Checking out Alcatraz in a few days to get ideas for remodelling my home.

Super, smashing, great.

Oh.. and deserved winner. Very nice, Suse.

Splendid.
