I also have this photo from the same shoot - Eva with our dog, Rigo.. I can't quite decide which works better for the topic. Any suggestions?

The second shot looks very Blue. I would stick with the first.

Yeah, it did look a tad blue. Easy fix. What about now?

Thanks for the comment!

Best,

Endre

Hey Endre, I think both are fantastic shots as expected. As far as a stand alone piece I like Eva with the dog but I feel the dog does not give much relevance to the theme. In relation to the assignment I am leaning towards the first one. They are both young. Just my personal reaction. Either way you have two gorgeous wall hangings.

I like it much better without the blue. I agree with the others though in that the first image relates more to the assignment.

Endre,

You are correct Angels. Like the first one. It says young to me. Good Luck.

Endre, my sweet friend, your daughters are not just beautiful, they have an elegance about them that shines from your image. I love both of the photos, (especially love the playfulness of the second one,) but agree that for this WA the first one is your winner.

If we aren't voting on it in the next couple of days, there's no justice!
(But I'm serious.)

You're a lighting master, and both images attest to your amazing skill.

Well, I can't top Philly's post in terms of eloquence, so I'll merely have to agree. Two stunning images. For the assignment I think the first fits best. Beautiful work Endre.

I prefer the first one, it is beauitful. I like the composition, post processing and relation to the topic.

I do like the second one too, but it almost makes me think the little girl is covering her nose/sense of smell (like the dog is smelly). It is a great composition though, with the dog's head just entering the shot.

I love your work. Keep shooting!

They are both wonderful. Here is my take. Youth young is about being playfull impulsive. although there is no arguement about the 2 angels. I have never seen 2 children not engage themselves in spontaneous play. Dogs are the same way. Thats why children and puppies, dogs are such a natural combination. Look at the thumbs of all the entries. The images that make you smile have the children at play.

Thank you all so much for the commentary. I so appreciate all your lovely words of praise which makes me very happy that you all like these shots. I figured that no matter what, i'd have a nice portrait of the two girls. Since all but one of you thinks the first one is the best for the assignment, I think I'll keep it as my entry.

Please forgive me for not responding personally to each of you as is my habit. Please, also, forgive me if I don't get around to posting comments on all the wonderful entries this week. I'm in the midst of a huge project which is taking up much time, so I was lucky to get my assignment shot. I've been asked to compose the muisc - four short songs and two dances - as well as all the transition music for a 30 performance run of Shaespeare's "The Winter's Tale" which opens in a couple of weeks. Additionally, I will be performing all the music on my violin entirely solo throughout the play - sort of as a member of the cast in that I'll also be in costume and need to know where to stand, exit, enter, etc.. This is a very high end theater repertory company and all their performances are always sold out. You can find out more about them here: http://www.anoisewithin.org/ There are a total of 25 rehearsals not counting 5 preview performances. I'm not involved in all of them (until the previews) but the ammount of time spent is ratcheting up as the date for the previews approaches. Although i've not been known as a composer, it is gratifying to have the cast members going around backstage whistling the tunes from the songs i wrote.

Anyway, that's the reason I'm not responding to everyone so please forgive me!

Thank you all again for the kind comments!

All best wishes,

Endre
