I have not seen all the stuff out there, just a little. I think some of the better known guys are over rated & have achieved much of their fame through heavy self promotion.
Their strengths & successes are more about their business acumen than their photography. No doubt the photography has some value too. I have seen some nice work as should be expected but I would say that the expertise is in the consistency. Once you have reched a level, basically these guys are probably just going to have a couple of useful tips. That is to be expected as we all work uniquely.
For the beginner or someone that has yet to have years of experience, no doubt these products would have a greater value.
Dvd's are a terrific idea - you learn so much and gain an awful lot. The next best thing is to attend every seminar you can and really digest the information and swim in the knowledge.

I can recommend Mikke Colon - Gino Lucadermo - Denis Reggie - Clay Blackmore - Yervant (naturallly) - many more.
And, the seminars are worth the hassle and airfare.
Never been to a seminar. How much do they normally go for? What do they teach?
I always thought it's better to see how they work as words just can't do the same
The seminars vary in price - some are thousands and some are hundreds. Denis Reggie offers a conclave for something like $2200 for a day and a half.
All in all a seminar is a rare opportunity to learn and share. Offering a seminar is something more people could consider as well. Teaching is learning and learning is teaching.
Mike Colon is a great guy, tremendous teacher, leader, man of jesus - he is an all around roll model for the modern age. Follow after Mike and sooner or later riches will follow.
