CNC stands for " Computer Navigated Cutter" think of it as big printer with a blade that can cut through wood, plastic and aluminum. You put in your drawing and it goes to work.

I want one of those! But I don't think that I could do as good a job as you did on a fabulous entry this week Mike.

Cheers. Bill

I love the intensity and passion you put into your creative pursuits. Sounds like taking the photo was the easy part!

Love it. It is a mind bending experience, and a pleasure to behold.

This would look fantastic in a frame, and hanging on the wall. It would make a great conversation piece at parties! Very hip and very marketable!!!

Mike......This is Brilliant!
Thanks for the background. Re: Chris Angel......I park my car in NYC at the last place Chris Angel performed his recent stunt! The set up took an entire week. Were you involved in that one?? It was quite amazing!
Besides your talent.....you have very clever ideas!

Best of Luck
Patty

MIke I remember a few weeks ago you mentioned you had given up photography for a period of time. I ask why? I am amazed by your ability to conceptualize then excecute the idea. I have been impressed by all your entries these past weeks. Another winner.

Hi hh, That means allot to me. Thank you. This may sound defeatist but I think honestly I stopped shooting because I felt I could not make a living at it and I was not good enough to do gallery work. That was the dream. I love the art of photography and promised myself I would not be a commercial shooter for hire. I have been a hired graphic artist since I was eighteen, now 43. My photography seems to fall into many realms without any direction and I don't know that it will ever be gallery material. I recently submitted my work to a couple stock photography sites. I was the feature photographer on one and rejected on every shot at another for "poor and uneven lighting" in all my shots. I will not "conform" to traditional ideology of what is gallery or commercial worthy anymore. I now shoot for me and my greatest enjoyment is my passion for the art and the inspiration my work may hopefully bring. That is why I like coming here. It is nice to be appreciated and inspired by you all. I feel at home.

Mike, for gods sake, don't conform!!!! What in the world does "extra" ordinary mean except out of the norm!! Every book I look at with fine art photography, or the gurus--they are all out of the box!! Then someone recognizes them and they are the experts!!! You are immensely talented--throw the box away and keep doing what you are doing and have fun!!!
Jane

short of brilliant. I like this two-color lighting approach of yours.

The whole setup and the work from an idea to the final photo is both impressive and admirable.

Great concept, and great execution. Looks like a sure finalist to me, if not a winner... Good luck!

Great image and title. Is the Window trying to conform to the rose bending to the light, or is the rose bending to conform to the skewed window!! The slight reflection and the nothingness in the window add to the mystery and the slightly unsettled feeling. Well done.
