It was raining, which turned the tree trunks as black as they appear here. I don't know much about trees, but they seemed like they were a billion years old. They were caked with soggy lichen, moss, or whatever that gunk is. The wet ferns were reflecting up so much green light that the distant fog looked green too.. lol...
