Couple recent shots with my Nikkor-Q 135mm f/2.8 (D7000, handheld, ISO4000). Both wide open and in very challenging indoor stage lighting. The first shot is the Chancellor of the college district that I work for. He decided to get off the stage and walk among the staff. The staff photographer cursed this, but I took it as a challenge. There was one misaimed lights that he kept stepping through and I was patient until he walked through it and paused...click!
This one is in even worse light, they had 4 different colors of gelled lights shining on stage with the brightest being red! Had to tone this down a bit... The way the light and shadows fell made the curtain behind her look to be on fire. Same camera settings as above.
