Shot in 2003. Was doing the routine back ups and noticed a file named Mantis, opened it up and I completely forgotten about this series. This was a quick shot since I was shooting something and I sow a Mantis on the lawn and I quickly shot this. I didn't have time to grab a macro lens as the Mantis could've ran away by then.
I am seriosuly considering going back to 35mm film for several reasons: look, colour and feel and future proofing / archiving. Who knows if dslr raw files are supported within 30 yrs from now or any hardware that can support raw converters...
The film below are scanned on an IT8 calibrated Nikon LS40 scanner using a Velvia 100F profile at gamma 2.4. No photoshopping, no cropping, just used Silverfast Ai 6 and no adjustments since IT8 profiling is accurate. IT8.7 Film targets can be purchased at: http://www.targets.coloraid.de/ .
