p.1 #1 · How to Check shutter count - IDmkIIN?

Does anyone know how to check the shutter count on the EOS 1D mkIIN camera?
Can that be checked using the camera menu or do you need to hook up the camera to a computer?

You can check the EXIF info in Photoshop CS2, or an EXIF reader that shows all the hidden tags, or you can use a utility like CanCount.

This question comes up frequently...there are plenty of threads in this forum explaining how to check in Photoshop or an EXIF reader.

I don't have CS2, don't know what an EXIF reader is, so i guess, last option is CanCount - what is that? I only use DPP, is there anyway to check using that?

Check out http://home.pacbell.net/michal_k/exif_v.html A piece of software called EXIF Viewer. Works great for me on Mac.
