Hey Al,
Thanks. I thought this trip I really got some good shots on individual trees as opposed to the large stands of tree's. #2 was a shot I went for last year, but I wasn't happy with it, so it was nice to have it turn out alot better this year.

Excellent color Jiml. I shot that same scene in #2. I love the yellow and the red!
Hey Phil, Thanks! I loved that interaction between the red and the yellow, and ofcourse we have so little red color, you just want to get any of it that you can see. As I mentioned to Al, I tried to get this same shot last year but came away disappointed, so I am happy on how it turned out this year.
What colour! Beautiful shots, the first was worth wet feet(?). I think the second is outstanding.
Hey Peter,
Nope, didn't get my feet wet! The creek had some heavy brush surrounding it, so where I finally found an opening, because it was fall the water was low enough to cross on the rocks. Come spring, that would never happen!
Thanks for the vote for #2, it is a popular choice, and I kinda like it myself...
Nope you won't find any colors like this in Orange County! We have some awesome beaches and palm trees, but not much in the way of fall colors like this.
These were taken in the Eastern Sierras, which if you are not familar with is just east of Yosemite and before Death Valley!
I would be hard pressed to pick a favourite if you did a little creative cropping on the 1st. Had you considered cropping a tad from the sky at the top and on the left hand side to throw it off-centered. Just a thought and likely my personal taste but imho not necessary as you don't need cows in this grouping....the shots speak for themselves.
