p.1 #1 · #224 Bike Path

OK my friends, I was able to get out today to shoot something I like a lot better than that mediocre photo I put up earlier this week. Just in time, too. :worried: A bicyclist on the beach path near the Pacific Ocean.

Thanks to all of you who commented on my earlier photo.

Endre,
Pushing the envelope, you missed 640 by one pixel.
Nice shot, wish I was on that path.

Dan.

Thanks, Dan. I'm glad you like it. I replaced it with one that is 640 pixels for sure.

All the best,

Endre

Beautiful shot. Very minimalistic . Love the way the tracks and the path are converging, and the constrast of the smooth path and the marked sand. Looks like the guy is taking the easy way.

Beautiful shot Endre, I love the texture of the beach; the way the shadows show the tire tracks. A perfect WA entry.

Endre,

Oh my goodness, what a find! The sandy beach serves as a perfect backdrop for the lone bike rider travelling along the trail, and the vehicle tracks cutting a diagonal across the image could not have been in a better position to complement the scene. This is a finalist, for sure.

Best regards,
Robert

Thanks, Gotsy! I should have gone out to get this shot for the "Minimalism" topic a couple of weeks ago. All the aspects of this photo that you mention are why I chose to shoot it. Thanks for noticing.

All the best,

Endre

Thank you, Nick. I'm so glad you like it. The tire tracks are what attracted me to the shot. Then, all I had to do was set up and wait until a biker came along.

All the best,

Endre

Thank you so much, Robert! Had it not been or your kind PM I might have left well enough alone and not gotten out to shoot this so I am doubly thankful! This is one of those shots that I could see exactly in my mind before I shot it. Nothing was accidental. Anyway, I'm delighted that you like it.

All the best,

Endre

Thanks, Christian. I toyed with the idea of converting it to B & W but it was already so spare that I decided to leave it alone.

All the best,

Endre

Hey, I just got my first peek - this is great! I see that you're in the finals and doing very well. Maybe this is a chance for you to get a gallery!
Regardless of the outcome, this is a very fine image, and an excellent addition to your portfolio!

Thanks so much, Jess! Glad you like it!! I see you are in the finals, too. Congratulations!! You were the first to comment that my earlier photo was mediocre (in so many words) so I knew I had to do something to redeem myself.

All the best,

Endre
