I read that canon is supposed to anounce the new 35d the next few days.
With this new model, do you think eos350d price might drop?
My point is: with more models on the market, maybe canon tries to fight with the 350d in the DSLR entry-level, so, closer to d50 price (which by now is much cheaper).
What do you think?
The price on the 350 might drop, but only if Canon feels that they can sell enough units to make up the price difference. Another thing to consider is that the 350 is a relatively new camera, so unless Canon wants to shoot 350 sales in the foot, they will not come out with a replacement for the 350 so soon.
I don't know anything about Nikon's pricing or what models are new, but if Nikon comes out with a comparable model, or has one already, that is lower priced, then, yes, I think it only makes sense for Canon to change their pricing on the 350. One thing that is really nice about electronics is that they tend to get more feature rich and stay the same price or in some cases become cheaper.
I am not sure if you will see lower NEW price of 350D, but I think USED price will be lower than current market price as many people will be selling their 20Ds...
