p.1 #1 · Feedback on Sigma 135to400

Hi, does anyone out there have the Sigma 135 to 400mm Zoom Lens for the Nikon mount? I am looking at buying one and would love to here any pro or con feedback. I primarily would be using it for Wildlife shooting, second question is this, Sigma has the 170 to 500mm but obviously for 200 bucks more. For the extra 100mm is it worth the money?

Thx Paul

p.1 #2 · Feedback on Sigma 135to400

not a bad lens. I'm pretty much anti-sigma as much as I can be. I owned this and a 15-30 and was pretty happy with the output, just thought they were both too huge for the field. I had an EOS 10D at the time, but it's all the same. iso 100-400.

A) monopod required.
b) focus is slow
C) use MF instead

But, frankly, you can get really nice image from one.
