So I have been going on a few weeks, and have only recently got my D1x, but I haven't shot a frame in like 2 weeks. I have been working on finals, and working my butt off at work, and I just wonder, do you guys shoot every day? (part of my is thinking all of my great gear is going to waste :-( I know Scott shoots almost everyday :-) But what about the rest of you, ever go for a while without shooting, go through withdrawls, wonder why you bought that 400 dollar ballhead and haven't used it yet? I'm just curious if I am alone in this, or if it happens to everyone?
I'll shoot everyday, as I'm just getting used to my first SLR I sit in my room and try to get the proper exposures and minimize camera shake, I can shoot up to 1/5 of a second flawlessly still Im really studying the technical aspect before I get out and start shooting full-on, plus I really want my 85mm 1.8!!!!
I guess this was all spurred by my Christmas list. My girlfriend was asking me if I still wanted the markins M10, and I said yes, but part of me said, I haven't shot in like 2 weeks, maybe I am getting out of it and I should ask for something else. Then I picked up the D1x, fired off one shot of like, the corner of my room, and a big smile came over my face and I remember why I wanted it :-) Even if I don't shoot as often as I do want to, I have all the stuff I want (well, that I can afford) so I can make the most of those few times I do :-) Thanks guys, I was just curious. I often find it hard to find things to shoot as well. What do you guys shoot, when you shoot everyday?

Since moving to Los Angeles it seems I haven't shot in weeks, in reality its only been a few days. But before I moved out here my job had me shooting eight hours a day so its an adjustment.
Maybe it just feels longer since I've looked at least 200 photographers websites this week in search of assisting jobs.
Anyway new gear can be a motivator to getting out and shooting, I'm sure you will be heading out in the evening to shoot a few sunsets to see how nice it is to shoot with a good ballhead.
I have backed off to once or twice a week due to work, other commitments and the fact that the D70's shine has worn off. I am like John Mac in that I look for the photograph more often than rattling off a bunch of frames. Goes back to my penny pinching film habits, but also allows for more creative vision. There are days when I don't feel creative and no amount of shooting would produce an image I like, but other times I can find a keeper every time I look through the viewfinder. Those are the days I wait for.

I try to shoot every day, and before I got married I almost always did. Of course Now that I have a 6 Month old, I find myself shooting a hole lot more.
I shoot about once every two weeks, but when I shoot I get off 3 or 4 hundred frames. I wish I shot more often. I considered finding one of those online clubs that have a photo theme for every day and you're supposed to take a photo to fit the theme. I figured that would at least give me some ideas every day.

I know that feeling. Wait until they are Teenagers. I have to set up Blinds to get good shots these days.
I shoot every day when I am travelling (and I travel a lot ). Otherwise, I shoot a series of pictures once a week approximately... All in, 1000 pictures a month. I only shoot as a hobbyist, for the fun.

It's been about 4 days since I picked my camera up.
My case stays in the front seat of my vehicle whenever I'm in it.
Such a great idea, I do the same and always have, its just absolutely necessary to have the camera at all times. When inspiration strikes you need to be able to act on it immediately
