Somoene who inquired about this lens mentioned that he was emailed these INDENTICAL images when he inquired about another Sigma 70-200. (I do not know where he saw the "other" listing but it was very likely a scam)
However I can assure you that the images posted above are of MY lens and this is a legitimate offer.

When you mention the upgrade I am not sure if you are referring to the Nikon VR 70-200 or the simple chip upgrade.
Anyway to clarify what was done to this lens:
1 When I first purchased the lens, I had the chip upgraded so that it would work properly with the D100. (in low-light, the AF would occassionally lock-up. This lock-up could be quickly remedied by turning the camera off and then back on)
However the permanent solution was to upgrade the chip. (a FREE painless replacement by Sigma)
2 About two months ago the AF was not focusing properly at the longer focal lengths. I shipped to Sigma (again a free painless return) and they replaced the board/chip. (as stated on the paperwork)
