how is it that you guys can afford the collections you have? do you make a killing with your photography? is it your living? or is it that you have some other career that nets you shit-tons of money?

I was organising my lenses today, so while I had them on the desk, I thought I'd take a pic. See my sig for reference as to which is which. How about everyone else posting a shot of your Nikkors too?

Okay now, play nice children.... I might have to agree though that Scott your comment could be considered border line troll material...
Uggh guys...I shoot Motocross, you would all castrate me if you saw how dirty my lenses were, especially the 400mm 2.8 with the broken hood and duct tape all over it. lol
yeah, I know a few people who refuse to use lens caps, ever....they say that using lens caps slows them down...okay sure if you're in a situation where you're switching lenses a lot or what have you, but I don't find it reallly takes too long to pop it off...but they counter with well I've got a filter on it, so it's not harming the lens...well a good filter can still cost $100....I use lens caps, how about you? And my friend never zips his bag up...more than once I've seen him pick it up by the handle that's on the top...and what happens....lenses fall out... I guess I just don't like to take chances with my gear...

28-70 VR Now just where did you find a VR version of that lens?
hehehe! It's new to the market Gary. It's called the over 50 memory syndrome! Hell I have a hard time remembering what day it is, much less all the Nikon's shorthand that printed on each lens.
Well I am still on the road and can't post any pictures from this weekend's NASCAR race. I can't say what kind of pass we had but it started with Medi*. I will have to thank an old FM'er by the initials of JRN for the great time we had. I think I need to take Stripper with me next time. Car races are a lot harder to shoot than I thought.
