This is a 20 second exposure with my Fuji S2 and Nikkor 80-200 2.8 AFS.
The "smoke" is steam and the orange glow was caused by the sodium lights at this lumberyard. I hope everyone enjoys it. http://myersphotography.com/lumberyard.jpg
I like this picture because it demands your attention. I was drawn to the (what seems like) vertical posts. At first it seemed like people standing around watching a fire. Then I concentrated on the tank and the smoke.
Thanks everyone for your kind comments. This is the culmination of many nights this winter freezing trying to get it just the way I wanted it to look. It's nice to see the photo so appreciated.
Thanks again.
I appreciate the kind words of everyone very much. I'm happy you all like it.
Jeff, those fingers sticking up in the photo are logs that have been cut rejected.
I just wanted to say thanks to Fred and all of you who viewed and or voted for this photo.
There is a lot of wonderful photography here and I look forward to seeing each post.
