p.1 #1 · D2X w/ PB-6 Bellows

A customer at our shop is interested in using their D2X with the PB-6 bellows. They were told by Nikon that they can use a dual cable release to control the bellows (AS-7 I think??), however, the D2X does not have a mechanical cable release. Here's the question, is there an adapter you can get that will allow you to transform the D2X's multi-pin remote port into a cable release port? If not, is there any way that you can rig the setup up to work? Thanks in advance!

I use manual-focus lenses on a Contax RTS bellows unit attached to a Canon DSLR body. Seems like the D2X should work flawlessly (and meter) with any non-G lens: you merely accept the loss of an auto-diaphragm.

Veeeery interesting! I've been considering the PB6 myself. I've never used a bellows, so this thread is very helpful to me. Thanks.

I still have my Spiretone's old Bellows. Sometime, I think about buy PB-4 which has bend and swing bellows.
Yes, they have dual cable release to older Nikon (film). Not for DSLR.

Let you research this one at http://www.nikonians.org/html/resources/nikon_articles/other/close-up_macro/macro_1.html
