CanonJoe: The camera was the D70. My Hummingbird pictures started out like that also, but were not as good, through the window with the 18-70 kit lens, didn't take long to figure out I needed a longer lens. But one thing I did was take lots of pictures of them and what that does is you learn there movements so you can start to predict what there going to do so can be ready when there in a good postion.
