I like that architectural style. The bookstore looks like a place I'd never be able to get my wife out of. She's a voracious reader. I'm not having any success figuring out what kind of car you caught the tail end of.
Cheers,
Brent

Independent bookstores are a rare commodity these days. Opening in 1969, this bookstore has been in business for 54 years. The outside of the bookstore feels quite historical as opposed to the woman cradling today's technology in her hand. With those barren trees behind the woman, the photo has a somber, wintery and somewhat eerie feel. As always, great B&W conversion Kent.

Thanks Brent.

Mine is pretty voracious, too. And, if she isn't reading one, she's got an Audible book going. Paper, Kindle, Audible ... doesn't matter, it's all good in her book.

The car, no idea, irrelevant the type.
Just something in the way, or something a pedestrian has to contend with.

Thanks Steve.

Yeah, they aren't on every street corner these days. I purchased a vintage copy of "The Print" from this store a few months back.

Well done brother!! Love the front sign and the side sign's tones! The B&W is wonderful! I am also a voracious reader of publications. It is becoming a lost art around here.
Barnes&Noble is here but that is it. DC has some but I doubt they will last long.
Great catch Kent!

Nice Kent, the scarf on the bust is icing on the cake.

Looks like a nice residential neighborhood (as seen with Google Earth Street View).

Best,

Bob

I live within walking distance of this bookstore and never thought to make it the subject of a photograph. Sometimes we under value our own neighborhoods.

I like the vibes that this gives off. What did you capture this on?
