Hello, good people.

Any recommendations for slideshow software?

Fancy making some to share on social media, websites, etc.

Needs to be for PC.

Anybody have any suggestions, please?

Cheers,
BK

I've always liked ProShow Producer. You can make some sophisticated presentations with it. It ports to different platforms, such as YouTube and you can burn standalone disks.

We use Proshow as well...have for probably 8 years. I have a few saved shows that I use as templates. Load the saved file, import my images, export. The whole process takes me about 5 minutes or less.

Thanks, Mr MacMillan.

Posted on a Facebook group and ProShow came highly recommended too.

I've downloaded it.

Looks like what I'm looking for.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with LR I can't seem to adjust the play duration of individual slides.

Bugger me!

I use movie maker for my you tube vids because I am too lazy to learn something decent.
Pro show shits all over movie maker for speed not to mention presentation!
I couldn't imagine using it do do a show with at a wedding! Talk about slow, limited and boring!!

I can sit down with the laptop at a wedding when I eat my meal and the show is done before the main meal is finished.

I drop the pics I want to use into a folder, run the wizzard which matches the slides to the music, add intro and exit titles, tune a few of the transition slides and timing, export and I'm eating dessert while it's finishing.
They once changed the schedule on me so I didn't even publish the show, I ran it as a preview and when everyone had seen it, THEN I saved/ published it.

If you can knock out a show using movie maker, you'll do something 10 times as good and twice as quick with proshow.

Windows movie maker has worked fine, it did fail to render a video and had to be restarted at a couple of weddings though. About 8 minutes to render the slideshow on my maxed out xps15. I use the pan and zoom automatic option and it's been fine. I'm not a fan of the slideshows loaded with animations I've seen from Animoto but will try out Proshow as I've lost trust with movie maker after it refused to finish a ciuple of slideshows. This is a typical slideshow with the pan and zoom option: http://tinyurl.com/chanelandbarry

What are all of your thoughts on pan and zoom "ken burns effect" for slideshows? Im in a facebook photographers group where the consensus is to ditch the pan and zoom but I think it adds energy to a slideshow.
