p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · High Speed Sync with Canon, Profoto and PW

I am interested in shooting a little high sync but have had some issues. Perhaps those with experience will share a little knowledge. I bought a Pocket Wizard FlexTT5 to go with the set of PlusX to fire my Profoto Acute2 1200 kit and an older Compact 300ws unit. I'm shooting with a 1Dx and 1Ds3 and all firmware are current but I can't seem to sync over 1/320 or so, it was very inconsistent. I've made adjustments within Pocketwizard Utility regarding HSS, delay recommended for Profoto and specifying the 1Dx but no go. There were a few frames that were clipped on the bottom at 1/500 and 1/600 but nothing seemed to eliminate that. I was tethering to CaptureOne and most of the files didn't load or they had strange white lines through them. Any help would be appreciated.

Update: After reading more on the subject, I had a little time to experiment and have made real progress. I went back into PocketWizard Utility, disabled HSS and designated the camera to be the 1DsIII. I was able to sync both the 1Dx and 1DsIII up to 1/8000 without clipping and tether to CaptureOne v11.
