1-3 were taken with the A7R II + 24-70 GM. The fourth was from the RX1 (I).

Thanks, added notes/Exif. It was a Contax G 28mm with a PCX filter on it. F/8 or 11, forget which. Great lens with the filter!

A relatively light year for me, in terms of uploaded photos. But here are three I'll pick for this thread.

DSC00198.jpg by Taylor Sherman, on Flickr

DSC01856.jpg by Taylor Sherman, on Flickr

DSC01239-2.jpg by Taylor Sherman, on Flickr

1. Leica Elmarit-M Asph 28/2.8 vII (11677). A light industrial area near where I live.
2. I think the same, I didn't take lens notes on that trip. Inside the public market in Milwaukee.
3. CV 10/5.6 - yes, this is a picture of the eclipse made with the widest FF lens you can buy. The full picture is nice, includes a bunch of blurry family members in the yard watching the eclipse in Lexington, SC. But it was amazing to me that I got a fairly decent close up as well when zoomed to 100% of a 42Mpx image.

Impossible to select since I've had a busy year trekking/hiking in some awesome locations (e.g. Nepal, Norway, Tibetan Plateau, Morocco, China etc.) so there are a lot of shots that mean something special to me personally.

Here are some from each of those :

Nepal : Gokyo Lakes. On the long climb up to the awesome Renjo Pass at 5,800m. Everest is the one left with the snow plume and the Ngozumpa glacier (the longest in the Himalayas at 36kms) can be seen between the mountains and the lake.

Nepal : The highest lake in the world (one of 6 in a row collectively called Gokyo Lakes). Gokyo Lake (#2) at 4,800m

Lofoten, Norway (200 kms inside the Arctic Circle)

Tibetan Plateau (Yunnan, China - a stone's throw from the Tibetan border and populated by over 80% ethnic Tibetans).

Mei Li Snow Mountain (summit attempts of this unclimbed mountain are now banned by the Chinese Govt. due to the number of deaths and because of it's Buddhist religious significance) @ 5,600m+

The 2 day Tiger Leaping Gorge trek in Yunnan starts with a 4 hour straight climb, hitting 30 to 45 degrees for large parts of the climb up the 70 to 80 degree slopes. With this being China concrete steps have been built in numerous places to aid with the climb (at least it helps when wet anyway) and also helps the ponies & donkeys carry loads up the mountain.
For US$8 I couldn't resist having a pony aid me with my 60L, 17-18 kgs, backpack ! This covers the final two hours of the first sector of the climb, the notorious '28 Bends' and the pony helped shave an hour off of this sector for me 😂
The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain range (so called for it's similarity to a dragon's back) can be seen in the distance. The highest peak is at 5,596 m (18,360 ft)
