That's nice! You raise a good point in terms of being "destined for the web." I think we all have pretty high standards and aspire to shoot as clean and tight as possible. I get it.

But 85% of the photos I make are viewed on phones. How much do I truly need to worried about a little grain when my pictures -- my precious works of art, each a priceless little gemstone -- are being viewed by someone waiting in line at the Costco, on a screen smeared by with finger grease from a recent trip to Popeye's chicken.

I agree with the above poster. I offer shoot images for large banners/billboards, so the details are paramount. However, for anything that’s going social or web only, clean the image up to your liking and post away. 12800 is gigantic and likely unnecessary, but if the images are to your liking stick with it.
