p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Family photo critique

Hello everyone,
My first post here. I recently started taking photos with my new to me Canon 6D. I am having fun and hopefully learning lots.
I used a 33" umbrella with a speedlight to take these photos of my mother with my children. I am pretty happy with the results but I would like to get better so I am asking for your critique.
Other ideas or suggestions? I was using an old Nikon speedlight in the umbrella and my new YN speedlight to trigger the Nikon. There are several ambient lights in the room.
Most of the shots I think I think are too tight and I managed to cut off some fingers in odd places. Other thoughts?
Thank you in advance
Joel

Two suggestions.
1. Post your pictures here, not links.
2. Don't critique your own pictures.

If you post pictures, you get double or triple the views and comments compared to links.
