Fantastic shot. Can you say where exactly this is?
Thank you. Burnt Ranch (the green fields along the river) is a few miles north of the Painted Hills on Burnt Ranch Rd. This vantage point is on a jeep trail off of the road to Priest Hole.

Burnt Ranch - Rain? Almost an oxymoron! That's in my motorcycle stomping grounds. Lovely capture - I really love this part of Oregon!

Thanks Dave, I bet it's fun exploring that area on a Motorcycle. The whole John Day Basin (John Day is the longest undammed river in Oregon) is a fascinating area.

Heron, wonderful image! The landscape is typical of central Oregon, and I love that part of Oregon too. Great composition, light, and atmospherics to this image. I love this image!

Sure does look burnt. And like most of southern CA. Nice imaging, Heron.
Thank you Jeffrey, the ranch got it's name in 1866 when some local Native Americans burned down a settler's house, stables and 40 tons of hay.
