Same bird. Same position w/respect to flower blossom. But perhaps a different level of excitation which may account for no iridescence in gorget in one photo versus a slight gorget iridescence in another. I find that full frontal headshots invariably show complete iridescence in the bird. Maybe it's excited?

Good ones. (Simplified) The angle of the light in relation to the feather is what projects the color. (How it works and the colors projected is more complex) As far as excitement or disposition, they can aim and or move their feathers to project their mood, such as to a female or intruder. Some expert could tell you more or correct me.
