Based on general reports of performance and various reviews, I wouldn't think that I would even consider comparing the a7rII to the 1dxII on the grounds that the latter does everything better and faster except resolution and base ISO dynamic range. Although I've read positive things about the latest Sony models, I still doubt that they are significantly better in any way besides the ones already mentioned vs. a 1dx II. The top-end cameras from Nikon and Canon are extremely hard to beat IMO, especially in the things that are most important to me: focus and high ISO.

Not sure why the Sony files are hard on a computer. I only use the straight raw for processing my sneak peaks.
Otherwise I am on smart previews.
The only time the raws are back in the mix is for export.

Hey Everyone,
Update: I sold the 1DX MII bought a 5D MIV, used it for a couple of shoots & hated working with it. So returned it back & tried XT-2 kinda liked it
( I used my dads FM-2, AE-1, Yashica Electro35 at the starting of my career so kinda like the dails & the interface ). So waiting for the X-H1 to be released.

XT-2 is a bit slow and the battery is a nightmare. Hoping X-H1 has a better battery. Something like canon's LP-E6

Nikon D4/D5 and Canon 1DX 1/11 are built to higher build quality than semi pro bodies and should be more durable and reliable. That said if you are shooting weddings have quality backups with redundant memory. Any slight improvement in image quality with Sony A7RIii will not be worth the loss to your clients ofna camera failure without backup. I am planning on getting a Nikon D850 as a third body to my Nikon D4's.
