I am looking for a quick up and break down Softbox or Umbrella system that i can use in the field. I am looking to use it for Weddings and outdoor portraits, families, etc. I rarely have an assistant, so, it's all me. I already have 2 strip softboxes, various regular umbrellas w/o fronts, and a very small pop-up softbox. Looking for suggestions.

*easy up & down

*not too heavy, using a Flashpoint AD200

*looking for soft amazing light from it

*cost is less of an issue

I have two of these Glow things in various styles. They're really fast and easy to use. I put it on a stand and go. The quality of light coming from them is good too. And they're dirt cheap compared to lots of other offerings.

I don't have any softboxes, but I think you'll need softboxes for outdoor things. If it's windy, the brolly is gonna sail to the Land of Oz.

I do have a handful of those types already and they are indeed very easy. I am looking for an umbrella like action softbox

In Bowens, these are hard to beat - http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1514505/0?keyword=glow#14229926

I highly recommend the Westcott Rapid Boxes for something that's very quick setup and teardown. They're not cheap, but I think for the quality of materials and durability they are a good value. I think adorama and B&H are doing a deal right now where the deflector plate is included with purchase (it's usually $30 extra separately). The 36" XL version would be a good match with the AD200. I like my elinchrom rotalux deep octa as well, but it takes. a little bit longer to setup and teardown than the rapid boxes.

Ohhhhh I see what you're doing. I can't help you there unfortunately. For my purposes, I never needed those.

I would second the 36" Westcott Rapid Box with the deflector plate. You'll need to get the AD200 Bowens mount bracket and then order the Bowens version of the Rapid Box. Great light, I have the 48" version and it works very well.

The SMDV Alpha Speedbox is my go to modifier on location. If it is windy and you don't have an assistant or sandbags, pick up some hard reflectors and diffusion panels

That SMDV seems to be getting a bit more steam in popularity and your review does a great job explaining why you really get what you pay for with these modifiers (vs the cheap glow/impact/fotodiox stuff). I might have to check it out as an alternative to the Westcott.

+1 for SMDV. I have a 27" and a 39". Get a Bowens Mount for the AD200, and then get Bowens mount on the Speedboxes, both work great. The 27" is my go-to when I'm working solo.

Well, i took the plunge! SMDV headed my way, 26ish" bowen's mount unit, looking forward to it! Looking to get an A90 - 110 after doing a bit of testing and having some fun with the first unit.

Thanks kdphotography for the great blog review, that pushed me over the edge, although everyone's input has helped.

Great to have a group that helps everyone out.
