Anyone who might have one of these and the OMD EM-1 Mark II. Have you ever heard of having trouble attaching the lens to the camera?

I donít have one anymore, but when I did, I never experienced any issues mounting it to my E-M1.2.

Thanks, I will let a few more respond but I think it is going back as I am not risking damaging my camera. I have 5 other lens but they are Olympus so I wanted to see.

I have that combination and have never had a problem with attaching the lens. BTW the are an excellent lens and camera body combination. Any micro 4/3 lens, no matter the manufacturer will work on any micro 4/3 camera body.

I bought one on ebay but I can't get it to go on the camera it is like something is blocking it from locking on. I put it on but after a short turn it would require a lot of pressure to turn it more. so I am returning.

I have had two of these lenses on my EM-1mk2, the first was very tight on the mount but I sent it in for replacement under the warranty because the zoom got progressively stiffer.

The replacement is a tight fit, but not enough to be of concern (rather that than sloppy) and the zoom, whilst still stiff is freeing with use.

Neither lens made me worry about the fit or felt as if it was being blocked though and as Mike said, its an excellent lens on both my EM-1 mk2 and Panasonic g80 (on which it is also a very firm fit)

I am not sure if this makes a difference(please help if you know. If this was a Canadian model could that make a difference? I found this number on the lens
CAN ICES 3(B)/NMB -3(B). From what I can see this means Canada

Mine is firm but needing no extra effort to attach it to my Mk1 and don't see why a Mk2 would be any different.

This is the first thing i checked and mine is fine. Mine is a June 17 manufactured copy.

Pls keep in mind that even when the zoom lock button is at lock position, you can still zoom but lot of friction which may have been reason why many prople are complaining...so user error i think. When the zoom lock is unlocked, it behaves normally.

I just checked my zoom and there is very little difference, whether the lock is on or off. I suspect that it cannot be switched off completely, if at all.

Mine is exactly the same to mount as any other m43 lens I own.

I wanted to take some shots in less than ideal conditions, at 400mm, with mine,.Yesterday I got an opportunity. when we had a huge Weeping Willow tree felled. This shot was in dull, overcast weather, at a distance of about 250 feet, from my bedroom window. It is uncropped, except for a tiny bit from the left side.

Olympus EM-1 (aperture priority), Panasonic H-RS100400E 100 - 400 mm Leica DG Vario-Elmar Power Lens, 1/125 sec at f5.5. ISO 1600. Lens IS used, hand-held.

It is very unusual for me to use such a high ISO, possibly losing detail, but I had no choice.
