I am coming from Epson R3000 and for me Pro-10 is a much better printer. It produces much better prints on baryta type paper that I primarily use (Canson Platine, Canson Baryta, Harman Gloss Baryta, Ilford GFS, Huhnemuhle Fine Art Baryta) thanks for Chroma Optimizer. It has less problems with the paper feed and no black ink switch mechanism that failed in less than three years on R3000. Also I am not afraid if the head gets clogged, since the replacement head for Pro-10 (QY06-0085) costs GBP115, while Epson would cost almost as much as the printer.

Wow,my exact info,as well,even down to the paper.
I ended up with the Pro-100{price was low ,I couldn't resist..after rebate..$129-}
+1 for people who print occasionally,,,,better to find another hobby
My Epson R3000 lasted me 11 years,and was in perfect working order,when I sold it..got my moneys worth.

Unfortunately, I was not that lucky with R3000. It could be that I did not switch often enough bw Photo Black and Matte Black (printed mostly with PK ink), which killed PK MK valve.

Just bought a new printer (Canon Pro-10), since the cost to repair R3000 was close to the cost of new P600.

I have used my Pro-10 for the past three years with periods of non-usage of up to a month. I have never had an issue with clogs.

In short, it performs as expected.

Good,,at one point I had a problem with my Epson R3000,and had to take in for servicing.
The repairmen,told me,that Epsons are more prone to clogging issues,and a few other things.
I do miss it..made beautiful prints
