p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · X-T2 flash grayed out

My Google searches has failed me. On my X-T2 when I attach the EF-X8 flash it is grayed out - while popped up. When I close it I can adjust it to "M" but if I open the flash it goes back to grayed out. It also has a circle with a line through it at that point. I have checked the shutter. It's on M + E. Nothing is set to silent - that I can tell. Somehow the flash has been disabled though. I am sure this is a simple fix but I've been searching for a few days and can't figure it out.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks everyone!

I thought you had to be on pure mechanical shutter for flash?

My memory says I've tried M+E with flash and same thing -- had to switch to M.

Then again, my memory is sometimes a damn liar

M+E seems to work now that I have it on single shot.

That done it. I had it in HS continuous. Thank you!
