The topic I posted yesterday showed the general appearance of the colonies. I was expecting those images to draw comments about soft edges. Those edges are covered with tiny structures. This topic is about trying to show how those structures are arranged. That they are on a translucent, jelly-like body does not make for very aesthetic images but I accept the compromise required.

Its common name is Coral Slime. What look like spores are spores (or one-celled sporangia).
